Honesdale, PA – NASCAR fans can get one step closer to the sport they love as Aflac brings the No. 99 Aflac Ford Fusion show car to the Fred Miller Pavilion on Main Street in Honesdale on May 21, 2010. The car will be available from 2 pm – 8 pm for fans to get an up-close look at a real stock car, ask questions to Roush Fenway Racing staff and take memorable photos behind the wheel. The car is a retired version of the vehicle Carl Edwards drives throughout the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season and is equipped with a motor like those used on the track by Roush Fenway Racing teams.
The Honesdale event is sponsored by River Mountain Partners, an independent agent representing Aflac in the Delaware River, Catskill and Pocono Mountain Communities; the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce; the Greater Honesdale Partnership, and The Honesdale National Bank.
Festivities at the event will include a chance to win tickets and pit/paddock passes to see the Aflac team race on August 1, compliments of Pocono Raceway, and music compliments of Bold Gold Media.
