Stroudsburg, PA – RW Buff, Inc. Custom Homes and Remodeling received two awards at the Pocono Builder’s Association’s Annual Builders Award dinner held at Stroudsmoor Country Inn on September 22nd. They were awarded in the category of “Remodeling Whole Residential House and Renovation for Construction” and the “Award of Excellence to a Builder Member” of the Builder’s Association. This was the second consecutive year that RW Buff was awarded for their Whole House Remodel and the first for the Builder Award of Excellence. They have been awarded 12 Builder awards since 2005 including 3 for new residential construction, 7 for residential restoration and remodeling and 2 for commercial renovation projects.
The Stroudsburg-based RW Buff won both awards for their complete transformation of a tired 1940’s ‘Cape Cod’ into a functionally modern home full of character and charm that is just right for the young active family. The house is located on an ample lot in Stroud Township but needed to be updated and modernized. The project included a “blown out and expanded” second floor roof structure with dormers for baths and bedrooms with more light. The modern efficiency of the house was improved with a new kitchen, mudroom, great room, wraparound front porch and 3-car garage with breezeway. All new HVAC, plumbing, electrical and audio systems were also important parts to this project. Preserving the brick chimney wall in the new powder room was an extra special touch to highlight.
