Milford, PAThe Pike County Hotel Tax Board and Pike County Commissioners are excited to present the second annual Discover Pike PA Visitors Guide & Map completely dedicated to tourism. The guide and map will be one of the first impressions a visitor gets for Pike County whether they pick one up at a visitors center/welcome center, area business or they order a guide online.

This guide and map are part of a county wide tourism marketing plan that includes the website: http://www.discoverpikepa.com and is funded in part by the Pike County Room Tax collected by each lodging facility in the county. For the second year, the room tax funding allowed for tourism related businesses to receive FREE listings, plus full color advertising at very reasonable rates.

The visitors guide showcases the county and surrounding areas with comprehensive listings, easy to use charts, event information, hiking trails with GPS coordinates, travel times and fun facts to highlight Pike County. Information in the guide includes accommodations, restaurants, area activities and attractions, cultural events, outdoor recreation and more. The fold out Map marks major and secondary roads, area attractions in and around the county, maps of Milford and Lake Wallenpaupack and area business coupons. The visitors guide, map and website provide a vast amount of information for visitors to plan a trip and/or find things when they are here discovering our beautiful County.

Throughout the tri-state area, 50,000 8 ½ x 11 full color visitors guides will be distributed with 50,000 fold out color maps inserted into the center of the guide and an additional 40,000 maps will be distributed in rack card displays.

The visitors guide will be distributed through requests from print and online advertising, 300+ locations in five area counties, PA Welcome Centers, PMVB Visitors Centers and website requests. In addition to being included in the visitors guide, the map will have additional distribution in the Eastern half of Pennsylvania Rest Areas and Turnpike Plazas, PA Welcome Centers, Monroe County, Northern NJ, Orange, Sullivan and Delaware Counties in New York State and the Allentown/Philly area.

The Pike County Hotel Tax Board is comprised of five area business members appointed by the commissioners.
