Stourbridge Line Rail Excursions on Track for Great Train Robbery Runs

less than a tank of gas away!

Honesdale, PA – Masked marauders on horseback, a sack of loot and a train full of passengers are all part of the Stourbridge Line Rail Excursions Great Train Robbery Runs.  Sunday, June 27th marks the beginning of the 19th year of treating the Line’s riders to a “real” robbery aboard the Saturday round-trip excursions from Honesdale, PA to Hawley, PA.

“We are excited about the robbery runs.  They are one of our most popular rides,” states Annetta DeYoung, Train Manager.  “Everyone just loves it, whether they are young or old.  The robbers from “Just the Cowboys” add a wonderful air of authenticity to the whole wild-west robbery theme.  Simply put, the ride is a terrific family outing.  There is all the excitement of the robbery, the serene riverside scenery, and that nostalgic, relaxing feeling that comes from chugging along in a train.”

The first Great Train Robbery Run pulls out of the station on June 25th.  Subsequent excursions depart every Saturday thereafter through September 3rd. Tickets are $24 per adult and $19 for children under 13 years of age.  These rides depart from the Wayne County Visitors Center at 1:00 PM.

Reservations are recommended for all rides.  You may place your reservation by calling (866) 637-2457. To obtain more information about this and other rides, please contact the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce at (570) 253-1960 or (800) 433-9008.  You may also visit these websites: and
