Cresco, PA – The Northeast Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center (NEPIRC) put out a call to Northeast Pennsylvania manufacturers and organizations to help their neighbors with flood clean-up from the effects of Tropical Storm Lee. NEPIRC is a non-profit corporation that provides strategic consulting services to small and mid-size manufacturing companies in Northeast PA.
In less than two business days Weiler Corporation, an area manufacturer of cleaning and surface conditioning products located in Cresco, PA, answered the call by donating 7 skids of their push brooms and other cleaning tools. New England Motor Freight, a freight carrier partner of Weiler Corporation, was immediately on the spot to donate transportation services. The skids of product were taken to Medico Industries in Hanover Township for local distribution by NEPIRC.
Weiler Corporation employs approximately 400 co-workers in NEPA and has a long standing reputation for their generous community involvement.
