Pleasant Valley School District – Dominick J. Sacci of Effort is seeking a School Board Director position with the Pleasant Valley School District.
“As President of the area’s most successful real estate company, I have been a part of the “property value/property taxes” conversation for almost two decades now. I know the effect of high taxes, loss of jobs, and rumors of a challenged school district have on our community”.
Sacci says that his proven track record of successful fiscal management, efficient operational administration, and community consciousness qualifies him for the position. He has been active with organizations like (PIC) – Pride in Chestnuthill, the American Cancer Society and their “Relay for Life Walks”, Monroe County Children & Youth Services – “Adopt a Family” and “Methodical Stands Against Child Abuse and Suicide Concert”, Bringing “Home” to the Troops Campaign, Habitat for Humanity -“House in a box”, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association-Lock Up to name a few.
When asked, “Why do you have an interest in the PVSD”, Sacci replies,”I strongly believe that the foundation of our community exists in its education. My wife Sylwia and I could have moved anywhere in the Pocono’s. When it came time to decide where we wanted to educate and raise our family, we chose PV. Since we have been residing in Chestnuthill Township, we have been hearing concerning comments such as, “the school district is not what it was” and “the board is going to do what they want to do – they don’t understand how hard it is to keep paying these taxes”. I could have sat on the outside and pointed the accusatory finger, or become part of the board and attempt to do something about what I have been hearing”.
Sacci, a father of two, has lived in the Pocono’s since 1988 and has been working for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Wilkins & Associates since 1994. He has been instrumental in navigating his company through the economic challenges of meeting the demands of their “lean” budget. Sacci explains, “We needed to find ways to eliminate waste & duplication, become more efficient, and save jobs. Most importantly, as a business, we didn’t have the ability to simply raise taxes”.
Sacci created the firms’ Management Training Program which transitions agents into management positions. He also structured the Career Development Courses where he and several other managers instruct REALTORS® about internal processes and the operations of the real estate industry. Sacci also hosts educational seminars, conference calls, and sales meetings that educate and inform his sales staff on the ever changing real estate industry.
