Wilkes University to Host Information Session for Graduate and Adult Students on April 20

Wilkes University will host an information session from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 20, for adults interested in pursuing an advanced degree or certification in a variety of academic fields.

 

Faculty will be available to discuss master’s degree programs in bioengineering, business administration, creative writing, education, electrical engineering, engineering management, mathematics, mechanical engineering and nursing. University staff will answer questions regarding financial aid and admissions procedures.

 

Master’s degree programs for educators include online teaching, school business leadership, instructional media, educational leadership, reading with reading specialist certification and teaching English to speakers of other languages. Wilkes also offers a variety of letter of endorsement and add-on certificate programs.

 

Doctoral programs are available in education (Ed.D.) and nursing (D.N.P.).

 

Adults wishing to complete their degree can learn about the adult bachelor of business administration program. Adults who possess a bachelor’s degree and are looking to change careers can explore the accelerated baccalaureate degree in nursing or the master of science degree in middle level education with initial Pennsylvania teaching certification.

 

Tuition varies by program and financial aid is available to those who qualify.

 

The information session begins with registration and refreshments. It takes place in the second-floor Ballroom of the Henry Student Center, located at 84 W. South St. Free parking is available at the rear of the building.
