Delaware Water Gap, PA – On Thursday, September 23, Alternatives Salon in Stroudsburg hosted a fundraiser to benefit Women’s Resources of Monroe County, Inc. The event was held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with a variety of discounted services.
Owner, Tesha McDonald has previously supported our cause through offering clients services free of charge on specific days of the week. Good Eats provided delectable refreshments during the event. The event raised $500 for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Monroe County.
Jennifer Grube, Executive Director of Women’s Resources of Monroe County said, “We are so grateful that area businesses like Alternatives Salon open their doors to us as we educate and serve the community through outreach.”
Women’s Resources of Monroe County has served the community for 32 years. They provide safe emergency shelter, 24-hour crisis hotline, counseling, education, legal advocacy, and community outreach to victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
