Award-Winning Casual Dining Franchise Will Raise Funds for Joseph H. Firth Youth Center August 25

ALLENDALE, NJ (August 10, 2016) – Quaker Steak & Lube®’s Pohatcong, NJ restaurant is turning two, and to celebrate, the award-winning casual-dining franchise known for its Best Wings USA and more than 25 sauces has decided to make its birthday extra special by giving back to its local community. The restaurant will raise funds to benefit the Joseph H. Firth Youth Center in Phillipsburg, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that serves as a home to many local sports organizations’ games and events, and is dedicated to providing local youth with every opportunity they deserve.

Specifically, The Lube’s Pohatcong restaurant, located at 1304 Route 22, will donate 10 percent of its sales on Thursday, August 25 directly to the Joseph H. Firth Youth Center as a way to say, “Thank-Q” for its services to the local community. Guests – or “Lubies” – will also have the chance to win a variety of great prizes and giveaways throughout the day.

“We are excited to celebrate the second anniversary of Quaker Steak & Lube in Pohatcong,” said Victor Russomanno, area director, Quaker Steak & Lube. “The town of Phillipsburg and area residents have welcomed us with open arms from day one, and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate turning two than by giving back to this great community. The Joseph H. Firth Youth Center is an outstanding organization, and we look forward to celebrating this milestone with our guests and contributing to a great cause through our combined efforts.”

Guests can fuel up on The Lube’s lineup of delicious menu items, including award-winning wings, beefed-up burgers, custom-built combos and leaded or unleaded beverage options.  Founded in 1974, Quaker Steak & Lube®’s compelling décor, including race cars suspended from the ceilings, motorcycles, Corvettes and motor-themed memorabilia, combined with its craveable food and SuperCharged events, has created a cult-like following for The Lube® for more than 40 years.
