Hawley, PA – The Pocono Lake Region Chamber of Commerce presents the 11th Annual Chili / Wing Cook Off, set to take place on Sunday, March 3, 2013! The event will be based at Ehrhardt’s Waterfront Restaurant and downstairs in the Banquet Center, onLake Wallenpaupack, Route 507, 2 miles east of Hawley, PA.

Enter your favorite chili and/or wing recipe TODAY to reserve space in this popular event!! This is a perfect way to spend a late winter’s day; tasting delicious samples and judging your favorites! The Cook Off gets under way at high Noon. The doors remain open for admission with plenty of food available until 3 pm. There will be plenty of room as the entire establishment has been reserved for this great event!!!
Official judges are the Administrators from Wallenpaupack Area School District. First place winner in both chili and wings will capture a trophy and $100 cash award. Awards will also be presented to second and third place winners. There will be first, second, and third place trophies for the coveted Peoples Choice category. All in attendance will serve as judges to select the Peoples Choice winner’s.
There is no charge for Chili and/or Wing entries, which may be from a business, organization, or individual. Multiple entries are encouraged! Admission fee for the public to “taste and judge” is $20 per person, with advance ticket sales through the Chamber office, or the Lake Wallenpaupack Branch of Honesdale National Bank.
All will have a great sampling from some of the area’s best cooks, chefs, and restaurants, and no one goes away hungry. It’s a great way to warm-up fast with entries like “Mountain Man Chicken Chili”, “Bluebegue Wings” and others.
