Bartonsville, PA – DEPG Stroud Associates II, L.P. will host a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday, September 28, 2010 for Phase I of the new Bartonsville Square Shopping Center at Route 611 & Route 33 in Bartonsville, Stroud Township, Pennsylvania.
The Phase I groundbreaking will commence the site work preparation for the sale of a 3 acre parcel to Liberty Hospitality of Montoursville, Pennsylvania, who will be developing a 110-room Hampton Inn & Suites. Situated on Route 611, the new state-of-the-art hotel will have direct visibility from both Route 611 and Interstate 80. Construction is scheduled to commence in the spring of 2011 and open approximately one year later.
Bartonsville Square is approved for 100,000 square feet of retail on 26 acres, which will consist of various junior anchor tenants, specialty retail and restaurants with free-standing pads located directly on Route 611. The center’s prime location and easy accessibility will make it a destination location for shoppers and families throughout the region.
Situated directly across the street is Bartonsville Plaza, which opened last year and is a mixture of national retailers such as Advance Auto, Great Clips, Dunkin Donuts, Sonic Drive-In, Verizon Wireless and Sleepy’s. These two centers are distinctly different, yet complement one another nicely in this growing retail market.
