Honesdale, PA – The year-old Nursing School at Wayne Memorial Hospital, an affiliation with Luzerne County Community College, got a boost from Cellular One of Northeast Pennsylvania. The wireless phone services provider donated $1000 to the nursing program. The funds will be given to four students to help them purchase textbooks for the two-year program. Erwin Guberman, Cellular One, said, “We’re fortunate to work for a group that believes in giving back to the community. We look for suitable opportunities, and this is one of the best we’ve come across.” James Pettinato, RN, director of Patient Care Services at Wayne Memorial, was appreciative. “We started this school to meet a need for nurses in our community, and we can’t thank Cellular One enough for seeing what we’ve done and supporting it.”
