Hail to the Chief: William Parrish named Monroe County Bar Association’s 2016 Liberty Bell Award Winner

STROUDSBURG, PA: Monroe County Bar Association (MCBA) announced former Stroud Area Regional and new East Stroudsburg University police chief, William Parrish, this year’s Liberty Bell Award recipient.

Each year, MCBA’s Liberty Bell Award accepts nominations recognizing a man or woman in the community who has promoted a better understanding of the rule of law, encouraged greater respect for the law and courts, as well as stimulated a sense of civic responsibility.

A belief in creating, “connectivity with the community,” coupled with Parrish’s 33 year career transcending serving the community to community service seized this salutation spotlight.

Chief Parrish will join April 29 Law Day ceremonies starting 9 a.m. in Courtroom One of Monroe County Courthouse for a presentation and accolades. The media is invited to attend.
