All the Beauty of Autumn- Just for riders aboard the Stourbridge Line

Honesdale, PA – The Lake Region of Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains is the starting point for a round-trip train ride filled with old-fashioned family fun, music and singing.  It is the Stourbridge Line Rail Excursion, and this fall it chugs along the spectacular Wayne County countryside for three separate themed rides.  Enjoy the beauty of Autumn and its radiant reds, glorious golds and burnished bronzes, all reflected trackside in the shimmering waters of the Lackawaxen River.

Oompah!  Dust off your lederhosen and climb on board at the Wayne County Visitor Center for our Bavarian Festival on Saturday, October 2nd at 1:00 PM. This 5-hour round trip excursion to Lackawaxen features a hearty German-style feast that’s complimented by the strains of Joe Lindner and his band.  Sing. Dance. Fall Foliage train rides depart from the Wayne County Visitor Center in historic Honesdale at 9:30 AM and 2:30 PM on October 9, 10, 16 and 17.  Reservations are recommended for this 4-hour ride, which includes a 1 hour stopover in the Victorian village of Lackawaxen.  While in Lackawaxen, our shuttle bus will take you to the Zane Grey Museum and the Roebling Aqueduct Suspension Bridge.  Tickets are $29 for adults; $27 for seniors and $17 for children 12 & under.

Wear your Halloween finest and join us on Saturday, October 23rd for our annual Halloween Fun excursion.  Ghosts and goblins galore, they all adore the costumes and treats that make this a favorite with children of all ages!  The train departs the Wayne County Visitor Center in Honesdale at 1:00 PM.  Reservations are recommended for this 2-hour trip that will be ghostly fun!  Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children 12 & under.
