Presented by the Pennsylvania and Wayne County Builders Associations

Northeast, PA – In April of this year, Governor Tom Corbett signed HB 377, making it Act 1 of 2011. This House Bill appealed the sprinkler mandate on signal family residential homes, however many other changes and requirements were adopted to the Building Code. On Tuesday, July 12th at 4:30 pm at the Palmyra Professional Complex located on Route 6 in Hawley, the Wayne County Builders Association will be hosting a presentation by the Pennsylvania Builders Association to address these changes. The presentation will focus on such topics as where are sprinklers still required to be installed, the mandatory offer regarding sprinkler systems, the new requirement for fire floor protection, new log home energy requirements, the 2009 wall bracing requirements, as well as when the 2012 codes will be adopted. “This presentation is designed to provide participants with the essential information on the code changes in a short period of time as the presentation is tailored to less than 1 hour with a Q & A period at the end”, stated Laurie Lourie, Chief Executive Officer of the Wayne County Builders Association.

Registration is required and a fee of $15.00 for builders’ association members and $35.00 for non-members is required to attend this presentation. To register for the course, please contact the Wayne County Builders Association at (570) 224-4941.
