East Stroudsburg, PA – Rep. Rosemary M. Brown (R-Monroe/Pike) encourages people in the 189th District in Monroe and Pike counties to attend one of her upcoming legislative “coffee breaks” to talk about state government issues. Brown will update local residents about the 2012-13 state budget and legislative redistricting among other topics.

“These coffee breaks will allow me to have a one-on-one discussion about state government issues with local residents, and in addition to updating them on a variety of topics under consideration in Harrisburg, these events will allow them to let me know how they feel and perhaps share with me some of their ideas on how to help solve some of the state’s challenges.”

The coffee breaks will be held on the following dates at these locations:

  • Monday, July 9, Monroe County Public Safety Center, 100 Gypsum Road, Suite 2, Stroudsburg.
  • Wednesday, July 11, Middle Smithfield Township Building, 147 Municipal Drive, East Stroudsburg.
  • Monday, July 16, Blue Ridge Fire Company, Old Route 115, Saylorsburg.
  • Monday, July 30, Delaware Township Building, 116 Wilson Hill, Dingmans Ferry.

All the coffee breaks will begin at 8 a.m. and last approximately 90 minutes.

Residents should feel free to attend the meeting of their choice; however, they must register by calling Brown’s office at (570) 420-8301 and indicating the coffee break they wish to attend, as well as the number of people attending. Seating is limited so residents are urged to make their reservation as early as possible.
