Honesdale, Pa — John C. Schmitt, Senior Vice President, managing partner for the independent multi-office firm, and Broker of the Honesdale office, announced that Colleen Steelman has been named top listing and sales agent for the 2nd quarter of 2010 in the Honesdale office.
A dedicated professional, Colleen credits her success with Chant to the fact she puts service to the customer above everything else. She obtained her real estate license and started with Chant Realtors in 1994. She is currently taking additional real estate courses to broaden her knowledge in the profession by working toward her Graduate Realtor Institute Designation, her Certified Residential Specialist Designation, and becoming an Associate Broker.
“With the market changes these past few years, I have adapted my strategy by using the Internet and social media,” says Colleen. “I am taking seminars and classes regularly to keep myself updated with the changes, including state meetings in Harrisburg on the constant new laws and regulations. I am also actively involved with the Pike-Wayne Association of Realtors and the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors.”
Serving as a Realtor for Wayne County has given her the opportunity to meet both buyers and sellers, and Colleen believes that being a real estate agent is about more than business-It is about building strong relationships, ones that hopefully will last a lifetime.
“It’s not about finding people houses, but finding them a home they will love and make great memories in,” says this native to the Wayne and Pike County area.
