Wilkes-Barre PA – Members of the business community gathered at Wilkes University recently to kick off the 2011-2012 Wilkes University Business Campaign. The theme of this year’s campaign is “Students are Our Legacy.”
The business campaign raises money for the Wilkes Fund, which directly impacts Wilkes students. For some students, support received from the fund makes the critical difference in allowing them to receive a Wilkes education. The Wilkes Fund provides programs and services for the University and also provides opportunities for more students to receive a Wilkes education through the general scholarship fund. It ensures that students will continue to advance academically, while becoming leaders in their communities and disciplines for years to come.
Wilkes invites all businesses to be a part of this year’s campaign. If you would like more information, please contact Amy Hetro, Manager of Annual Giving at Wilkes University, at 570-408-4302.
